Yoga I-II classes are intended to offer a supportive, well-rounded practice environment for both beginning and experienced students in good health. These classes rely on a simple repertoire of postures expanding somewhat on what's offered in our Yoga I classes. What you might notice... yoga postures are held a bit longer and the overall pace of practice is slowed. Most people experience this slower pace as a bit stronger practice that tends also to create a more focused, calmer mental state.
While pose and breath work stay rather basic in Yoga I-II classes, variations are introduced with the intention of exploring more aspects of body and mind. Finally, these classes focus a bit more on relaxation practices, and early meditation instruction is introduced. Students in Yoga I-II classes are encouraged to cultivate greater Self-awareness and a growing reliance on their own inner teacher.
