Yin Yoga shares many of the same benefits of other styles of yoga: it helps us develop a calm and stable mind, a supple and more comfortable body, and a more balanced and vibrant energy system. What differentiates Yin Yoga from other approaches is the unique objective of targeting the joints and connective tissue rather than muscle. Modern meridian theory suggests that it is our connective tissues that form and support the pathways through which our vital life force flows. Keeping them healthy promotes the health of our whole being – body, mind and spirit. (more)

Inviting Sleep… Yogic Practices for Nightly Renewal
John LeMunyon, eryt 500, Instructor
Good sleep is essential to the health of our body, mind, and spirit. Physically sleep strengthens immune function, improves endurance, and even helps regulate body weight.
Mentally sleep improves memory, balances emotions, improves problem solving, and enhances creativity. Spiritually sleep offers us access to the deeper dimensions of Self.
If you regularly struggle to fall asleep, to sleep through the night, or wake after a night of sleep physically tired and mentally sluggish, you’ll benefit greatly from what the teachings of yoga offer in the way of fresh insight and easily mastered practices to invite sleep. (more)
